New Holland hits the road
New Holland hopped a plane this morning to go on their first national tour to the North.
Playing with bands such as Straatligkinders, Southern Gypsy Queen, Revolusie and Reaanrottweiller, they are also spreading the word of the up and coming UBUNTOER II: Rock Against Racism tour of which they will also be part.
New Holland rides into the Sunset
New Holland started recording their first tracks on Monday at the legendary Sunset Studios in Stellenbosch.
The guys laid down four full tracks in less than two days. Look out for the tracks on Myspace and Facebook very soon.
According to engineer and producer Jurgen von Wechmar the songs sounds very lekker.

Die manne van Zinkplaat speel ‘n gratis boogie net voor die eksamen begin, so kom dans saam en vergeet van die donker wolke op die horison.

The Violent Free Peace
Stellenbosch’s own guitar man Basson Laubscher and his backing band, The Violent Free Peace which consists of master of groove Beitel on the bass and the pillar of the beat mr Herman Niewoudt on the drums, will be taking over Dorpstreet Theater for a night of passionate blues and boogie and a little bit of Johnny Cash thrown in!
These nights are always a jam so expect guests to join the fun. Its rumored that Gerald Clark (Delta Blue) may join on the harmonica and Mr Simon Orange (Blues Broers) might join the jam as well!
