What multi-camera production needs to solve.

A camera count only makes sense once the programme, room and audience outputs are understood.

01

Coverage and camera positions

We map stages, speakers, audience moments, movement and sightlines so each camera has a useful role and the equipment fits the venue.

02

Live direction and switching

The camera feeds, presentation content and graphics can be combined for live screens, online viewers or a clean programme recording.

03

Audio and output coordination

Camera coverage is coordinated with programme audio, IMAG, streaming and recording so the different outputs support one another.

A good fit when

Useful when one fixed camera cannot tell the full story.

  • Conferences and corporate events with stages, panels, presentations or audience questions.
  • Performances and live programmes that need wide shots, close detail and audience context.
  • Events using IMAG camera coverage on in-room screens.
  • Productions that need a switched recording plus separate camera files for later editing.

Multi-camera production FAQ

Questions clients ask before production.

The key decisions are usually camera count, positions, audio, live outputs and the final recording.

How many cameras does my event need?

It depends on the room, running order and required outputs. A focused talk may need fewer positions than a panel, performance or event with audience interaction. DPK recommends a camera plan after reviewing the venue and programme.

Can the same cameras feed venue screens and a live stream?

Often, yes. IMAG screens, live streaming and recording can share a coordinated camera workflow, but screen delay, graphics, aspect ratios and audience needs should be planned before the event.

Does multi-camera production include audio?

The video plan must be coordinated with a clean programme audio feed. DPK can include audio in the production scope or work with the venue or audio supplier where responsibilities are clearly agreed.

Can we get individual camera recordings for an editor?

Yes, where required. Separate camera recordings, the switched programme output, file formats and handover timing should be confirmed in the brief so the correct media is captured.
